Privacy Policy

Data collection

QuickSTEP does not collect personal data. It contains no analytics, advertising, tracking SDKs, account system, or network upload service.

Local files

QuickSTEP opens STEP files selected by the user through Finder or the app's Open panel. STEP files stay on the user's Mac and are not modified by QuickSTEP.

Local markup and cache

Annotations, measurements, camera views, capture history, generated previews, and security-scoped bookmarks are stored locally in the app's sandbox container. Users can remove generated data by deleting the app or clearing its cache in Settings.

Clipboard and exports

Screenshots are copied to the macOS clipboard or exported only after the user requests that action. QuickSTEP does not transmit screenshots or CAD files.
